Avenues Articles (Click to download)

  • The entire MBBA-NH organization has been directed by its Board of Governors to look for ways to provide tangible value to its CMP’s..  The Board wants to recognize and promote the professional standards and dedication CMP’s provide to the New Hampshire marketplace…

One of the featured CMP programs is our “Avenues” articles in the Manchester Union Leader…  The MBBA-NH has forged a solid relationship with the Manchester Union Leader over the past few years.  I’m sure many of you have seen articles published by MBBA-NH members in their weekly “Avenues” section of their paper.

  • 1) Authors are welcome to link to the Union Leader site when their column appears.
    2) Authors are welcome to submit their articles elsewhere so exclusivity is not an issue.
    3) Authors can tweet their columns and promote them on Facebook, their company newsletters, etc

  • It’s simple, really…
Simply submit an article idea for consideration to Rick Herrick (at this e-mail)..  Please submit enough detail about the article so the review committee can understand the article’s approach…

The Committee will review your article idea…  If your article is chosen (and it will be as long as it’s relevant and not a repeat of a relatively recent topic), the committee will notify you within a timely manner of your articles due date.

CMP’s will be given first assignment privileges for authorship..  If we are lacking a CMP author within 30 days of an article’s due date, we will open the opportunity to other potential authors from the MBBA-NH membership.

  • The intended readership for the Avenues articles is the general New Hampshire consumer.  Any article idea that is intended for that audience addressing an issue or concern involving residential property and finance is a good article idea…

  • Articles are due 30 days prior to the Manchester Union Leader’s due date.   All articles must are reviewed and approved by the MBBA-NH Board of Governors prior to submission to the Manchester Union Leader.

It is strongly recommended submissions to the MBBA-NH’s BOG be preceded by a compliance review by your company (or any other entity you should pass your material by)…

Once  your article idea is selected, you will be assigned a due date for your article..

  • Between 400 to 700 words
