Presidents Letter
2019-2020 Membership

Good Day:

It is truly an honor to serve the members of this organization and work with a Board of Governors who bring such high standards to the industry.   I look forward to working with each of you and collaborating to bring the best outcomes to our membership in order to serve their needs.

As some of you heard me say at the annual dinner, my goals for the year are straightforward:

  • Strengthen our “foundation” by reviewing the governance of the organization to ensure we offer opportunities for our members to take advantage of the benefits offered and help with success in the mortgage lending industry;
  • Review our membership roster and engage board members to more assertively help our Membership Committee retain existing members and recruit new ones;
  • Give guidance to our Public Relations Committee so they may tighten up programs currently offered, such as the CMP program, while listening to CMP’s to understand what additional activities may enhance their ability to benefit from membership. To show our New Hampshire community, via member activities, that we are an organization of true professionals who want to serve them with the highest standards;
  • To provide meaningful education to member employees, ensuring the ability to keep up with changes in the industry. To provide new professionals entering the industry (or those who simply want a refresher) with a foundation of knowledge that will help propel them to success in their role;
  • To advocate and work with lobbyists who have our industries best interests in mind, always taking into consideration our members points of view and whether the legislation will help or hurt not only the consumer, but the industry as a whole.

I look forward to a great year and working with each of you in an area above that interests you.

I am truly fortunately to be entering this role after some very strong leaders who worked tirelessly to get us to this point.  As with any organization, growth is good and we have enjoyed many years of sustained growth and new opportunities.  Taking a step back to assess where we are will help us build a road map to a sustainable and bright future for the organization.

Sincerely,

Evelyn Whelton
